Training Venues and Sessions


6.45 - 8pm.  Circuit training for all ages (8 and upwards). This will provide general contitioning for all sport activities to improve core stability streangth, speed and flexibility. N.B - Change of Venue to Middlesex University for the summer only



6.45 - 8.15pm.  The club's main Track and Field training session is based at Copthall Stadium. The sessions are organised by Coaching Coordinator Steve Harris. The club's coaching staff take groups of athletes for formal instruction in the techniques of the various track and field events. First contact - Steve Harris (Coordinator) on 0208 368 6754.



6.30pm   A mixture of plyometrics and weights for power, core stability and general conditioning for all athletic events. Based at the Club House, Victoria Road, New Barnet. Organised by Ty Holden on 07737 803260



6.00 - 7pm.  Beginners jogging sessions. First contact - Steve Harris (Coordinator) on 0208 368 6754.

6.45 - 8pm.  This session caters for Senior athletes and the older young athletes. it consists of groups of varying ability, going for road or country runs of from 3 miles to 8 miles. Newcomers are put with an experienced club member at first to ensure that they become familiar with the routes and are able to become accustomed to the routine gradually.




6.45 - 8.15pm.  Sessions are for any athletes (over 12 years) wishing to focus on events from 400m through to 5k. They are designed to complement existing sessions on Tuesday and Saturdays. Please contact either Ty Holden on 07737803260 or James Taylor 07985571569

9.15am.  Training sessions for seniors (older young athletes by invitation) led, by coaches Maggie Govender, Eddie King, Richard McCormick and Des Michael. 11am.  Training sessions for all ages (over 12 years) focusing on Jumps and Sprint technique led by coaches Chi Kin Tsang, Ty Holden (07737803260 ) and James Taylor (07985571569).



The QE Centre is extensively used for short courses for the younger age groups - 8-12s - covering all the standard athletic events.

Sportshall starts at QE Girls Centre on Sunday 25th April 2010 at 3.30pm. Minimum age 8yrs up to 12yrs. Cost £3.00 ph.
