Training - Track & Field

Tuesday Copthall Athletics Track

Tuesday night is Barnet and Districts main Track and Field training night with a variety of events on offer. The training groups cater for all ages and abilities from young athletes (11 years and upwards) seniors and veterans. All are welcome.

Please ensure you are there by 6pm to start your warm up and be ready to start the session (this includes drills with Ty).

 Sprints

Introductory Young Athlete Sprinting is catered for by Chris Stott, one of our most experienced Coaches and Track and field officials.

Ty Holden coaches the developing Young Athlete sprinters and senior athletes. Contact Ty on djtyholden@yahoo.co.uk

Throws

Throws coaching is taken by Steve Harris (Coaching Coordinator) and Peter Rice.

Middle Distance

Senior and Young Athlete middle distance sessions are taken by Jo Kent (joannepkent@btinternet.com) - 07803 139397. There is a focus on the track athlete (800m to 5k) and road based (5k, 10k) athlete. All ages 11+ and abilities are being catered for.

Eddie King takes senior athletes of all abilities providing a varied and inclusive sessions. They are well suited to the novice as well as the more established athlete wishing to improve their road or track speed.

Jumps

Jumps coaching is also taken by the very versatile Steve Harris (Coaching Coordinator) and Bella Nagy.
