Young Athlete Coaching Rota

Shown below is the coaching rota for our Young Athete Training on a Saturday morning in Trent Park (Cockfosters Entrance). Registration is 9.15 - 9.30am. The sessions and groups are structured to cater for all abilities. A further more detailed outline can be found below.

Note:- No YA training in Trent Park when the Young Atlete North West London League is taking place with the exception of the reception yellow training group.

Trent Park Saturday Morning Sessions Winter 2011 /2012

Yellow

Focus is on introducing athletic activity, making it fun, varied and inclusive. Session structure involves co-ordination skills, teamwork and general all over body fitness (multi-event).

Orange

Builds on the skills introduced in Yellow, introducing more athletic drills, improving aerobic and anaerobic energy systems and muscular strength.

Green

 

Structured and periodised training for the more athletically mature athlete with a training age of 2+ years. There is a greater emphasis on aerobic activity (even for the sprinters and power athletes).
