UKA takes its responsibilities towards the welfare of young people in Athletics very seriously and requires everyone in athletics who has significant contact with children to have an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure.

Please follow the link to the UKA web site below for answers to some frequently asked questions as well as links to documents about the actual process and guidance for verifiers.

In summary the process is -

Telephone 0870 909 0844 ask for Enhanced Level disclosure. You will be asked ; Name, address, how long you’ve lived at address, DOB.

Registered body – “UK Athletics Ltd” registration no 22525500000

Say if you are a coach or official (or student over 16yrs)

You might be asked for your Club name. Say that you are a volunteer.

You will then be sent a partly completed form which you complete in black ink and then get either Mel Parker or Chris Stott to verify, then you post the completed form back to Athletics Welfare, P O Box 332, Sale, M33 6XL .
